Becky Gremillion and son, Drew, apply a little body English to get the familiar orange Pull-Pal/Premier Power Welder Ford through the rocks.
The familiar orange Pull-Pal/Premier Power Welder Bronco sported a different driver as Becky Gremillion got a little practice time in preparation for the Skyjacker National Rock Crawling Championship for Women later this summer.

The locals relish running the trails with the event attendees. Terry xxx's Bronco has made the trip over Die Trying countless times including the inaugural trip several years ago.

Ferris McCollum makes the trek to the Madness every year also. His ride has to rank among the most unique purpose-built rock buggies built as he has mated mostly Ford running gear to a '30 Ford A body that "he just had lying around."

Ferris McCollum gets pretty twisted up in the early section of Die Trying. He runs "bigs and littles" by running two different ring and pinion ratios.

Die Trying is still considered the hardest trail at the event and surely ranks among the most difficult in the West.

The first couple of hundred yards on Die Trying quickly separates the hard-core aficionados from those folks who are in over their heads. The steep grade, the huge boulders, and the length of the trail combine to make Die Trying an experience to remember.
