Readers of www.extreme4x4.com don't need to be told anything about how the Suzuki Samurai has developed a fiercely loyal following of owners, rivaling Jeep owners when it comes to brand loyalty. The reason for this is the Samurai has proven itself to be one tough 4x4, able to go anywhere and, when built using the aftermarket parts available today, the Samurai competes with any of the extreme 4x4's -- Jeep, rock buggy, or whatever! After discontinuing sales of the Samurai in the United States, Suzuki focused its efforts on promoting the Sidekick (also, Chevrolet Tracker), a comfortable, efficient, downsized sport utility that has matured into the Vitara and Grand Vitara (still the Tracker at Chevrolet) today. You may be surprised to know that Suzuki sells more vehicles in Japan than Honda and is the fastest growing Japanese automaker here in the U.S.!
