If your Wrangler came from the factory with a Dana 35 rear axle, you are a candidate for the Super 35. Most of us Extreme Wheelers aspire to larger tires and improved ground clearance for increased rock hopping abilities. We can't forget that larger rolling mass (taller tires) results in dynamically increased pressures and stresses on ALL our driveline components. The tiny OEM axles taking the brunt of the force are generally the first parts to break. Obviously, dropping in a Ford 9-inch or a Dana 60 would solve the strength problems. But looking at the issue with a tighter budget in mind will quickly lead you to the Drive Train Direct solution.

This is how it works. We remove the weak, anemic 27-spline factory axles. Then we drop in new forged Superior 30-spline units. Add a beefy 30-spline Detroit locker, Timken Bearings and seals and - voila! You have a Drive Train Direct Super 35.

Rob Springer of Mission Viejo, CA is the proud owner of a Super 35'd YJ. He made the call to upgrade his project Wrangler with one of their Super 35 Kits. The folks at DTD were prompt and efficient. Their highly trained staff and mechanics performed the installation with great speed and accuracy. The whole ordeal took only a couple of hours and Rob was back on the road in no time. After several months of daily driving and weekend adventures, Rob has only nice things to say about his Super 35.
