The rain fell again and chilled us to the bone. The only redeeming factor was that we were in Moab, out on the trail. The scenic wonder of the area is awe-inspiring. Moab truly is an adventurer's paradise. A chilly day on the trail in Moab is still better than a warm day at the office!

The Moab Easter Jeep Safari, organized by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers four-wheel drive club, has grown to become the largest four-wheeling event in the country. With several thousand registered participants, and half again as many "renegades" (labeled such by the Red Rock Four Wheelers for not registering with them to run public trails), the city swells beyond capacity when the jeepers come to town.

A week of trail rides, camping and just generally having a good old time is culminated with a two day trade show/expo. The show has grown in recent years to fully utilize the indoor/outdoor facility at the Old Spanish Trail Equestrian Center. It is now common to see major manufacturer's tractor-trailer rigs and displays. Small, medium and large companies share their wares for the 4x4 buying public. This was the first year the trade show experienced the Extreme4x4.com Bus.  Needless  to  say,
our display was large! The trade show is highly attended and many new and interesting four-wheeling products were introduced there.

One of the hottest new products we saw was the Jackguard hi-lift jack case. It retails for $25.95 and about every other person was carrying one home! The Jackguard is a form fitted plastic case that keeps your hi-lift dry and clean. It also protects the inside of your Jeep or sport ute from the grease and grime of the jack. Check out www.jackguard.com. Another new item that caught our extreme attention was the aluminum scrambler body by JP Off Road. Dave Knight of JP has recreated the classic tub in a standard or bobbed version. JP displayed their polished aluminum tub sitting on top of an Advanced Frame Works mandrel bent frame. Here is the concept… new body, new frame, TJ suspension perches.. state of the art suspension systems available. Think about it! Check out www.jpoffroad.com.
