Easter Jeep Safari is the place to be for the 4x4 industry.
By Phil Howell
The Red Rock 4-Wheeler's annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab is four-wheeling's premier event. 4x4 enthusiasts from all over the world converge on the little southeast Utah town to test themselves and their vehicles against the superb terrain that's so plentiful there. For years, a few manufacturers, such as BF Goodrich Tires, have also made the Easter Jeep Safari their destination.
A few years ago, the Red Rock 4-Wheelers moved the registration and exhibit areas south of town to the horse arena. The horse, or rodeo arena was built for large rodeos and other equestrian events. It's also about perfect for the Easter Jeep Safari. Large enough to accommodate about any number of exhibitors, as the ones who don't fit inside the giant building can be set up outside, the rodeo arena has become a mini SEMA Show that's dedicated to showing four-wheelers what's available in the marketplace.
I mention the SEMA Show, which is an automotive trade event held every year in Las Vegas, Nevada, because it's the largest show of its kind in the U.S. and everyone connected to the industry attends. Since it's for everything automotive, you have to walk miles to see the 4x4 industry exhibitors who are there. Because of the ideal situation the Red Rock 4-Wheelers have provided, every year there are more exhibitors at the Easter Jeep Safari and they are ALL IN ONE PLACE! I would even hazard a guess that if you, as a four-wheeler, missed the SEMA Show but made it to the Easter Jeep Safari, then you saw every manufacturer and retailer that you needed to see.
Easter Jeep Safari is fun, but it's now worthwhile to attend even if you don't bring your 4x4. Spending two days wandering around the horse arena taking in all the latest 4x4 industry offerings is certainly worthwhile - and fun! If you are one of the two or three companies who aren't yet exhibiting at the Easter Jeep Safari (it's not just for Jeeps or Jeep parts, by the way), give Tony Eyman of the Red Rock 4-Wheelers a call at (435) 259-2263 to reserve your space for next year.
We'll see you there. |
