Advanced Air Systems says one PT10 Power Tank will fill forty 32" tires from 15 psi to 30 psi. I found that with 36" tires, I got about three and a half trips out of a full tank, airing from 7 psi to 30 psi. That means a full Power Tank will service about twelve 36" tires and have some energy left for running an impact tool. Getting the tank refilled is quite easy, as welding shops and beverage service companies can fill it for you. I pay $7.38 a refill, but Advanced Air Systems say refills can run anywhere from $9.00 to $16.00. As your Mama told you, "You better shop around."

I suggest that you purchase a PT10 Power Tank Ultimate System, which includes two aluminum tanks, regulator, hose and mounting bracket. That way you won't run out of power on long trips, or, at home, don't have to run down to the refill station immediately if tank gets used up.

The PT10 Power Tank regular kit includes one aluminum tank, regulator, hose and bracket and runs $299.99. This compares favorably with many 12-volt compressors and is much cheaper than some of them. Performance-wise, the Power Tank should be the number one choice of extreme four-wheelers for a backcountry air supply.

The only downside is that once they see how fast it is, all your friends want to use your Power Tank, too Ð even when they have a compressor! Maybe you ought to carry one of those cheap yellow 12-volt compressors and offer to let them use that. That ought to cure the problem.
